Distribute Profiles:

This function allows the admin (owner) to send preferences to new users.

Click the 'Owner' icon on your DataTrust toolbar.

 

 

Enter your license name.

Enter the license password.

Press 'Ok' to continue.

Press 'Cancel' to stop.

 

 

 

The owner menu will appear.

Under the 'Owner' menu select 'Edit Access List...'

Select the 'Open Remote Access List''

 

 

The ‘Choose Remote DataTrust Site’ dialog will appear.

Select the 'Choose from list' radio button.

Select the site that hosts your project.

Press the 'Okay' button.

 

 

 

 

 

The ‘Edit Profile Entries’ dialog will appear.

Click the 'User entries...' of the 'Profile' that you want to distribute.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The 'Edit Profile Entries' dialog will appear.


To Add/Delete users press the 'Add User Entry'button, enter the password and the user id then select the access code.

Change the passwords, user ids, and access rights you desire. The changes will not be saved until you press the 'Update' button.

To quit this dialog press the 'Cancel' button, in this case changes won't be saved.

Now select a user row then press the 'Send Preferences' button this initiates the user notification process.

 

 

The Edit message dialog will appear.

Enter the user's email.

DataTrust will automatically fill the 'From, and the 'Email Host' fields. These fields may be changed as desired. You may add text to the default message which includes instructions on how the user should proceed.

Press the 'Send' button. The email with a ".iup" file attached will be sent to the user.

Once the user has saved the “.iup” file as directed, then DataTrust will grant the user access to the project.
